EMDR Therapy: Treating Trauma and Psychological Stress
Abstract:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is an evidence-based treatment for psychological trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The literature on EMDR Therapy has also demonstrated this treatment approach to be effective for a variety of other mental health concerns, such as depression and grief. This course provides a brief introduction to EMDR Therapy, including the three pronged protocol and the eight phases of treatment. Resources for information on becoming trained in EMDR Therapy are provided.
