Human Trafficking: Part 1
Human trafficking is far more prevalent than many people realize. This presentation will examine the commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking of children, the sexual trafficking of adults, and labor trafficking. The prevalence of these crimes will be explored. Resources available to assist service providers and victims/survivors of human trafficking will also be discussed.

Course Instructor: Dr. Erika Smith-Marek, PhD is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Pensacola, Florida. She is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow and AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She has fifteen years of experience specializing in the treatment of trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder. She is a Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist through the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists. She is also an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and Certified Therapist in EMDR Therapy. She formed and has served as the Regional Coordinator for the Northwest Florida EMDRIA Regional Network since 2015. She has provided continuing education and professional presentations since 2003.
